The Québec Experience Program (PEQ)

- What is the PEQ?
The Québec Experience Program (PEQ) is a fast-track process for foreign students graduating in Québec to obtain a Québec Selection Certificate (CSQ), a key step for permanent residency.
The PEQ is aimed at foreign students and skilled temporary workers who wish to settle permanently in Québec.
- Eligibility Requirements for Québec Graduates
To be eligible as a graduate, you must:
- Intend to work in Québec without having direct or indirect control over the hiring company.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have an oral French proficiency of level 7 and written proficiency of level 5 on the Québec French competency scale.
- Be legally present in Québec at the time of application.
- Demonstrate financial self-sufficiency.
- Specific Conditions
- Obtain an eligible diploma (most of LaSalle College’s technical DCS programs qualify) within the 36 months preceding the application.
- Complete a full-time study program at an institution located in Québec.
- Have resided in Québec for at least half of your study program.
- Complete a study program in French (meaning 75% of the courses were conducted in French).

Temporary suspension of PEQ applications for new graduates

The Government of Québec temporarily suspends the PEQ - Graduate Stream.
Important note: International students wishing to apply to LaSalle College are NOT affected by this announcement, as they will graduate well after the anticipated lifting of the moratorium.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
Interested in the PGWP instead?
The PGWP could allow international graduates of certain designated programs to work in Québec after completing their studies.
