What is a CAQ?
Students who wish to obtain a study permit to study in Québec must provide proof of issuance of the Québec acceptance certificate (CAQ) issued by the ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI).
DEC: To be admitted to a DEC program, you must obtain a Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) or its recognized equivalent.
AEC: To be admitted to an AEC program, you must be deemed by the College to have sufficient prior training and satisfy one of the following conditions:
To have interrupted studies for at least 2 consecutive semesters, or one year
To hold an agreement between an employer and the College
To have completed at least one year in post-secondary studies
For more information, consult the Admission Criteria section of your program of interest or contact our admissions advisors. They will be happy to help.
Since your admission to the College is conditional upon obtaining a study permit issued by the competent authorities, your application must include proof of your financial capability to cover the tuition fees associated with your admission.
To facilitate the obtention of your study permit, the College strongly encourages you to make an initial payment of at least $5,000, which will be applied to your tuition fees as per the following instructions: Pay My Tuition Fees | LaSalle College Montréal.
This amount will be retained by the College, which will issue you a payment receipt. This receipt may then be used to support the financial capacity requirements of the government authorities when applying for your study permit.
In the event of a refusal of your admission application, withdrawal of your application, or non-completion of your enrolment, particularly due to the government's refusal to issue a study permit, the amount paid as tuition fees will be refunded to you in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting private education.
