Retail Director – LXRandCo
Tell us about your career path.
After studying Fashion Design at LaSalle College, I started my career in retail sales at Gucci, then moved on to Dolce & Gabanna, Holt Renfrew and Hermès.
Next, I joined LXRandCo as an account manager. I was promoted to buyer, then regional manager.
I’m now the retail director, so I’m in charge of managing the entire retail network for the international market (United States, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Holland and the United Kingdom).
I oversee business plan development for all stores and implement market penetration strategies with commercial partners. My job is to make sure we exceed our sales, return on investment, profitability and customer experience goals.
How did your coursework in Fashion Design at LaSalle College help you?
Design offers unique opportunities for entrepreneurs. Its importance is often underestimated, but a good design can provide significant commercial advantages.
So, design can help transform ideas into innovative, competitive products and services that fit their market.
What advice would you give young people who are training in the same field as you?
Start working in the field before they’ve finished their studies. It’s so important to put into practice the knowledge gained during academic training to better understand how important it is.
