Diploma & Accreditation

This Diploma of College Studies (DCS) is approved by the ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur of Québec and is internationally recognized.

Holders of a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) can pursue university studies or enter the workforce directly.

Required Materials

A laptop computer is mandatory for study in this program. This laptop must be equipped with the Windows operating system to work with all software.

Mentors may request other standard or student-licensed software mandatory for their courses to be installed.

It has been determined that your study program requires a particularly powerful computer. We understand that such specifications can lead to significant costs. Therefore, it is acceptable to use a computer from the "Creativity PC" category and to utilize the technological solutions that the College will implement to work around the limitations of your machine.

  • Intel Core i7 processor or equivalent  
  • 32 GB of RAM or more  
  • 1 TB or larger SSD (Solid State Drive)  
  • NVIDIA RTX 2060 (or superior) or AMD equivalent
  • Windows 11 (Home, Education, or Pro versions).

Required software: Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 (or equivalent for Mac) software with student or regular licence (in the language of instruction).

Experiment with materials, patterns, and designs using cutting-edge, industry-standard equipment, software, and technology in our advanced facilities, including:

  • Clothing technology laboratory equipped with:
    • Sublimation printing equipment,
    • Specialized machines for shoes and leather accessories (skiver, walking foot, swivel arm, post bed).
    • Seam sealer (for waterproof seams),
    • Flatlock (for seams on stretch fabrics),
  • Patronage, drawing, and cutting room (open to students outside class hours),

Work Experience

Get sought-after practical experience with our Career Service and our Work-Study Program (WSP), which incorporates two paid internships into your program.

Our Fashion Design program also includes a 120-hour internship or a business start-up project as part of the curriculum. 

Admissions Criteria

Exceptions to these admission criteria may be applied.

Every application is reviewed by the College.

To be eligible for acceptance into this program, applicants are generally required to meet one of the following criteria:

  • Secondary School Diploma (DES).

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) with completion of:

    • Language of Instruction from Secondary V,

    • Second Language from Secondary V,

    • Mathematics from Secondary IV.

  • Equivalent education or an instruction deemed sufficient.

Academic Dates

LaSalle College has three annual start dates: fall, winter, and summer.

We accept applications at any time. Registration is open year-round.

Processing time:

  • Canadian applicants: up to two weeks,
  • International applicants: up to six months.

Submit your application as soon as possible to ensure a spot in your desired semester.

Note that applications are not processed until all required, validated documents and admission fees are received.
