About the Program

Every costume is a work of art that immerses the audience in a unique universe. Whether dressing a medieval knight, a 1920s diva, or an explorer from another universe, you will learn to design captivating and authentic outfits.

The DCS program in Fashion Design (Profile in Costume for Cinema and Television) at LaSalle College Montréal trains you in the art of costume design through a balance of historical research, creativity, and technical expertise. Dive into the study of textiles, cuts, and finishes, and discover how to artificially age a garment to give it a realistic patina on screen.

By collaborating with screenwriters, directors, and designers, you will learn how to translate a vision into iconic costumes. Your future awaits on film sets, theater stages, live performances, video games, and even museums.

Note: This program shares the same core courses as Fashion Design (for the first 2 years).
