LaSalle College Hosts Seminars Worth the (Virtual) Detour During International Management Week
Once again, the teachers who organized SIG outdid themselves to provide our students with seminars on current, relevant topics in the world of marketing, entrepreneurship, management and human resources:
- Digital Marketing
- Current Consumer Trends
- Repercussions of Teleworking on Jobs and Management
These conferences were broadcast online and available to anyone interested. The presenters were well-known professionals in their industry with many years of experience under their belts. As you might imagine, they shared very interesting and useful information.
In addition to seminars, we hosted special activities and discussions to help our students prepare for the job market with topics such as professional careers after graduation, the role technology plays in the current economic recovery, etc.
A special thank you to our teachers Cristina Marinelli and Tarik Zaidane for organizing this event, as well as to the speakers who agreed to share their expertise with us:
- Jean-Sébastien Giroux, expert in communications and digital strategy, Executive Vice President and Associate at Substance
- Vanessa Joynathsing, e-commerce and digital marketing strategist
- Donald Provençal and Fernand Campbell, LaSalle College teachers and former management and entrepreneurship consultants
What is SIG?
SIG (International Management Week) is an annual event organized by our teachers. The main goal is to provide a venue for our Business Management students to present their final projects to their peers.
Over the years, we realized the relevance of pairing this special week with seminars and practical activities to help our students expand their knowledge and managerial skills in a fun, less stressful context that is basically like a management festival.
In case you missed it, here are the recordings of the seminars we offered for the general public this year:
