How do I sign up for the New York trip?

Since there are a very limited number of places, we attribute them according to the motivation and the commitment of the students to their academic career. To apply, send us a short video ( 30 seconds max.) summarizing why you would be an excellent participant in this fashion expedition to New York.

Send your video to fashion.trips@collegelasalle.com

Selected participants will receive a link to the travel agency's website to register. A waiting list of 5 names will be kept in case of cancellation.

Can I cancel after registering with a deposit or full payment?

Registration and payments are made through Alta Travel Agency. Payment and cancellation dates are indicated during the online registration process.

Do I need to be vaccinated to participate in the trip to New York?

For the time being, yes. The requirements for entering the United States and returning to Canada continue to change. In order to participate in the trip, you must comply with the current policies in effect at the time of travel.

How many students per room?

There are 4 students per room. Whether you have a group of 4 or you are on your own, we take into account the requests made in the registration form, the native languages and the programs of study to complete the room list.

What are the eligibility criteria for the fashion trips?

You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the trip, be a student at LaSalle College International School of Fashion, Arts and Design and have a valid passport (and, if applicable, the necessary visas to travel to the United States).

If still required at the time of travel, have proof of vaccination required at the borders (EU and Canada).

Please note that the legal age in the U.S. is 21, all participants must comply with the laws of the country they are visiting.

* All international students are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas to enter the United States. Any questions should be directed to the embassy of their country.

I have friends who live in New York. Can I participate in the activities, without signing up for the whole trip?

Unfortunately, since the spots for the activities are limited, they are reserved for trip participants only.

Do I need travel insurance?

All participants must have travel insurance. Check if you’re covered by your parents’ insurance policies or by your credit card insurance. If you aren’t, you can get low-cost travel insurance ($40) for your trip with companies like Blue Cross.

Can I stay longer in New York?

For logistical reasons, we must return with the exact number of passengers as when we entered the United States. It is therefore impossible to extend your stay.

Do I need to get a cellular plan for the trip?

We recommend that you get a cellular data plan for the trip. Cell phone providers offer them at affordable rates and it allows the group to stay in touch during the trip, communicate meet-up times and participate in our photo contest.

Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?

The hotel has free Wi-Fi.

What are the costs not included in the trip?

Meals are not included. However, we will give you information about affordable places to eat. You will also have to pay for your transportation (except for the itinerary activities), your shopping and any other activities you would like to do during your stay. In addition, you need medical travel insurance.

Who can I contact if I have more questions?

All questions can be sent by email. There is also a lot of information on our social media accounts: @voyagesmodecollegelasalle.
