
Given the technical and hands-on nature of many of our programs, moving entirely online is not possible. Classes will therefore continue as scheduled, and every effort is being made to minimize the impact on our students’ academic progress.
- Are classes cancelled during the STM strike?
No. Classes will continue as scheduled. LaSalle College encourages students to plan alternative transportation options.
- What should I do if I’m late or unable to get to the College?
Inform your teacher as soon as possible via Omnivox or email. Delays related to the strike will be handled with flexibility, but it’s essential to communicate promptly.
- Is the College offering any accommodations?
Yes. Some courses may temporarily offer a hybrid (comodal) option. Please check with your teacher.
- What alternative transportation options are recommended?
- Carpooling with other students (via the College’s Facebook group)
- Bixi (free for those under 25 with certain promotions)
- STL or RTL buses if you live in Laval or Longueuil
- Poparide or AmigoExpress apps

Where can I follow updates on the strike?
Check the official STM website: Société de transport de Montréal. The College will also share updates on Omnivox and its social media platforms.
- Are College services (cafeteria, library, etc.) open?
Yes, all services remain open according to their regular schedule.
- Can I request a deferral for an exam or assignment?
Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your teacher or your program coordinator.
