Situation Update at Collège LaSalle

On August 24, 2026, Collège LaSalle Montréal filed for protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), following a $30 million penalty imposed by the Government of Quebec.

This excessive and unfair penalty, which we have been contesting for two years, has placed the College in a difficult financial position despite the many settlement proposals we have submitted to the government. This process is intended to protect the continuity of our institution and your academic journey.

Our goal is to ensure that you can begin the academic term at the College as soon as possible, and we are making every effort to achieve this.

Important:

Classes on August 27, 2026 are suspended until further notice.

This is not a cancellation of the academic term, but a temporary suspension while the situation is resolved.

We understand the concern this news may cause, and this page is intended to answer your questions as clearly as possible.
