Mikael Derderian, creative director and founder of the MIKAEL D brand, turned his childhood dream into an internationally acclaimed career.

Born to a Canadian-Armenian father and Lebanese mother, both designers of children’s clothing, Mikael grew up immersed in fashion. He honed his craft in his parents’ workshop, where he created his first skirt.

Launching MIKAEL D, he distinguished himself with collections blending diverse cultural influences and a modern aesthetic that celebrates the female silhouette.

His designs, renowned for their craftsmanship and vitality, have adorned global icons like Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, and Shania Twain at prestigious events such as the Cannes Film Festival. Today, Mikael Derderian continues to redefine haute couture, ensuring his brand sparkles on red carpets worldwide.
