Spotlight on Our Graduates
From a very early age, I knew I had a preference for everything arts-related. I sketched, I played violin and piano, I sang, I danced, etc. When I decided to take makeup classes, I looked for the best college in Montreal, with the best teachers. It was a dream come true to enroll for the Artistic Makeup - Fashion and Beauty course at LaSalle College. I decided to take it further, completing the Stage and Special Effects Techniques course. I loved the experience, and learned a lot. Thank you LaSalle College for the hospitality and the extraordinary quality of teaching.
I’ve been working as a professional makeup artist at MAC Cosmetics for the past four years. I also offer my services as a makeup artist for special events, such as fashion shows, film productions, photo shoots, video clips, weddings, etc.
I recently had the honor and privilege of being invited by the College to explain the art of makeup to students interested in enrolling for the course. It was an unforgettable experience, and quite thrilling to see their shining eyes on me.
The advice I’d give new students would be to never give up, and never give up your dream to take a different path. It's a very rewarding, enriching field that gives you immense personal satisfaction, especially when you see the joy and happiness in the eyes of your models and their team. Take control of your career, move forward, and never shy away from your goals, your desires and the obstacles you may encounter along the way. Think big!
