Unveiling Talent and Sustainability: The Bustier Competition & Redress Design Showcase
Following the success of the May 2024 Tailoring Competition, we’re thrilled to host the Bustier Competition, a celebration of third-session Fashion Design students’ talent and innovation. This exciting event will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM, in the 6th floor student plaza.
Event Highlights:
Bustier Competition:
Witness stunning creations competing in four categories:
- Best tailoring
- Best textile handling/printing
- Most original design
- "I'd like to buy it"
The top eight bustiers (two per category) will be displayed on the 5th floor in the prominent showcase window. Each display will credit the student designer and their supervising teacher.
Redress Design Award Presentation:
Learn about the world-renowned sustainable fashion design competition that educates emerging designers on circular fashion systems.
- Third-session students will present projects inspired by the competition's eco-design brief.
- Attendees can vote for their favorite projects, with standout designs advancing to a jury evaluation for mentoring and potential submission to the official competition in session four.
